Accreditations – Gas Safe Engineers and much more…

We have a team of 3 Gas Safe Engineers who are committed to providing a safe service and protecting your property. We take pride in being a Gas Safe registered business, ensuring the highest level of safety and expertise in all our gas-related services. This registration is a testament to our commitment to consistently adhering to industry standards and providing our clients with reliable, professional gas solutions.

What is the Gas Safe Register?

Gas Safe Register replaced CORGI as the single gas registration body in Great Britain and Isle of Man on 1 April 2009 and Northern Ireland and Guernsey on 1 April 2010. It is the only official gas registration body, and by law, all gas businesses must be on the Gas Safe Register.

A Gas Safe engineer can only be associated with a gas safe registered business and be issued with a license to carry out gas work on behalf of that business if they hold a valid and current qualification. This license only relates to matters of gas safety and is obtained by each engineer through a recognised route of training and assessment.

Gas Safe Register Importance

A gas safe registered business is only given registration based on having at least one Gas Safe engineer. The Gas Safe Register is not a membership body or trade association.

Being a Gas Safe engineer is not just a membership title or part of a trade association–it is an essential qualification demonstrating that the engineer has undergone a recognised route of training and assessment and is competent to ensure gas safety.

Being Gas Safe Registered also means you have a hand in protecting consumers from counterfeit or incompetent gas work. Gas safety checks, fitting a gas appliance, or carrying out any other gas-related work without Gas Safe registration is illegal. The one who did the gas work and the person who verified it would be legally responsible.

What is the Role of the Gas Safe Register?

The Gas Safe Register is tasked with important responsibilities designed to protect the public from unsafe gas work. Here’s a deeper look at how it achieves its mission:

National Investigations Team: The Gas Safe Register proactively maintains a vigilant national investigations team. This dedicated team diligently tracks and takes action against illegal gas workers, ensuring that unauthorised practitioners are regulated effectively.

Regular Inspections of Gas Safe Registered Engineers: Besides initial certification, the Gas Safe Register ensures engineers’ continued proficiency and credibility through regular checks.

Educating Consumers and Raising Awareness of Gas Safety: The Gas Safe Register strives to keep the public informed on the significance of gas safety. They spearhead educational campaigns, organise seminars, provide informative materials, and ensure the public understands the risks associated with uncertified gas work.

Investigating Reports of Unsafe Gas Work: Gas Safe Register’s role extends to investigating reports of unsafe gas work. Using industry experts, they analyse and address complaints about substandard gas work swiftly and effectively.

Through these means, the Gas Safe Register plays a crucial role in setting the standard for gas safety in the heating and plumbing industry, thus assuring the wellbeing of the consumers and the integrity of the industry.

Our Gas Safe engineers all carry an official ID card, and check a business or individual using the business name, engineer name or ID number on the Gas Safe register. You can also contact the Gas Safe Register by phone: 0800 408 5500.

In addition to Gas Safe, we are also Members of the APHC and FSB.
